aeg door problem

got at least a 20 year old aeg 2050 lavamat where the door just wont shut the door handle and striker look ok and the door lock works if i click it over with a screwdriver problem is not sure weather to order lock or handle kit although can only find d/lock at homespare which r quite expensive but cant find handle and striker anyone konw of this being common problem when they were in there hayday

hi yep door hook can wear and spring looses tension suspect parts would be obsolete. Started manufacture in 1982!

I had this problem ,
I shaved some plastic off the striker where it touchs door, so it closed more onto the interlock
