AEG Double Oven – occasionally turns off completely

Hi,

I have an AEG Double Oven, Model U41116, Type 91E1D01KD.

Over the last two weeks, it has turned itself off completely on 2 occasions, both times, soon after the lower oven had been getting used.

When it turned off, even the LCD light wasn’t working.
The gas hob still worked okay.

I checked the fusebox and nothing had tripped.

On both occasions, after leaving it overnight, it had come on again the next day.

Does anyone have any pointers as to what this could be?

It will be cutting out because the cooling fan is not working or the overheating safety cut out is faulty.

Given that the oven has worked about 10 times, and failed twice, does that make one of these options more likely than the other?

Is this the kind of repair that could be addressed by a competent DIYer, or is it best left to the professionals?
