    I have an AEG tumble dryer that shows an E40 error intermittently, apart from that it works fine. The on/off button seems to be a little bit temperamental, as in it sometimes takes more than one push to power up the machine. Are these two things related or is it something else? The door appears to close okay. When the machine runs and you pause it, on restarting the E40 appears. But if you leave it alone it completes it’s cycle.
    Any help is most appreciated.
