AEG electric oven goes off after 15/20mins

Hello,

Model: AEG B1180-1-M

Oven switches off after 20min had it for 4 years, No heat, no fan and no light. Any ideas.

Check the thermal cutout (aka TOC). Isolate power before pulling out and removing panels :zap:

Got the back off power off, what does it look like. I am okay with electric. Light inside went off too.

When its cooled down should the thermal switch, switch the power back on? IS this the same as Oven Cooling Fan Control Thermostat Thermal Cut Out? Looks like two one with a long silver wire..and how to check if working.

The ‘overheat protection thermostat’ (as AEG refer to it) is likely attached on the top adjacent the cooling fan. Usually constructed of metal and white porcelain with one wire in, one out.

One question for you : Does the cooling fan work when the oven is on?

Cooling fan on top does not turn ie not blow air in normal use. Was looking at the ZN limiter as part to buy if not what should i go with. What’s the part number i need for the overheat protection thermostat?

Overheat stat : 3302081058 available at this web site shop 😉

The cooling fan needs checking out as that is the reason the oven shuts off!

if the cooling fan is not working is may be the fan itself or its not being turned on

we can get you the part number for the fan but make sure it has failed before you swop it

there are also 2 cooling fans fitted one fitted up to 14/10/2001 and the other fitted from 15/10/2001 the later one has part number 8996619270995
