AEG/Electrolux tacho generator

Hi

I am after a replacement tacho generator for the AEG Lavamat 16830 washing machine, model serial number 914602122.

According to the service manual I found on Google, this should have a resistance of 121 ohms +/- 7{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. Mine looks in good condition but has a resistance of 246 ohms.

Does anyone know if this means I need a replacement? The tacho magnets, etc look in good condition.

In case it helps, the motor assembly has an orange ACC sticker saying type 20585.119, 195V 300Hz 3A rms, 17500 rpm.

If anyone has a salvaged unit, or knows where to get a reasonably priced new one, please give me a yell. Location is Clapham, London.

From what I can see it’s only supplied as a full motor by Electrolux, part number 132 19 30-02/4 and costs about £115 plus VAT and shipping.

If you drop Dave a line on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk he may know something different.

Dave was very helpful… took down further details re the motor, and suggested a Zanussi equivalent for 15 quid.

I’ll see next week whether it does the trick!
