AEG F/F S2340 8KG Alarm

I have just fitted new board and sensor for freezer in this unit, gets down to temp fine but alarm buzzer keeps sounding, when you cancel it, it goes off for 3 minutes then back on. What is my problem.

Original fault freezer part not working, but the buzzer would not cancel then without switching feezer off.

had this before there is a reed switch on small pcb in facia operated by magnet in door if door dropped or reed switch faulty appliance thinks door is open so will sound an alarm came across 2 whilst working for service force

Well checked the door reed switch interior light comes on and fan so don’t think that is the fault,though before putting in new board could not camcel. unit down to -18 on board checked temp -19.5, warning light flashing press to cancel will stay off a couple of minutes then alarm sounds won’t stop even after the 80 minutes.
So what am I missing. Kirk

does light definately go off when u close door hard to tell at times i usually open door and pass strong magnet under reed switch to check with door open if light goes out failing that i havent a clue other than a duff board you have fitted not unheard of

No I tried magnet I carry one for this type of fault. Strange thing is I couldn’t cancel alarm on old board either. I have ordered another board so will find out.
