AEG F40850S Not drying any more

We have an AEG F40850S which has suddenly stopped drying. Cycle runs and finishes leaving everything clean but soaking wet, suspiciously not hot any more either.

Have tried long and quick runs, with and without full load, and results are consistently wet. Filters etc all clean and drain works.

There are no error codes.

It is 5.5 years old now, just out of warranty. Is this a cheap repair or should I buy a new machine ?
