ParticipantThe above machine is giving an i20 error about 5 to 10 minutes after it’s been started.
The machine drain pump runs, stops thn runs again. the machine does not attempt to fill.
I understand the i20 relates to not draining within a set time.
I have disconnected the pressure chamber to eliminate blockages which did not resolve the issue.I have read on some AEG’s and Zanussi’s that display the i20 error there’s a bulletin available and a modification kit. does this apply to this model?
Is there anything else that is likely to cause this other than the pressure switch?

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the information, it’s very useful. Having disconnected the pressure switch and running the machine, to eliminate if it is caused by water levels or blockages it still returned the error. I will still flush out the air chamber as suggested though.
According to the bulletin it says:IF during the line test, alarm i20 appears again (after about 4-5 min.) it is necessary to reprogram the Main Board software to make sure that alarm i20, stored in the deep memory, is cleared.
How is this done?

Having returned to this and reset the PCB, flushed out the air chamber and still had the fault I replaced the pressure switch, reset the PCB and again can’t get the machine to fill.
I reset the PCB and started a program.
30 seconds after closing the door the pump runs for 1min 30seconds.
It then stops for a couple of seconds and then the drain pump runs again for another 1min 30 seconds.
It then stops for a further 10 seconds and returns to pumping for 1min 30 seconds
After the above sequence the machine bleeps and displays i20 which is “Fails to drain”
I think I have exhausted all possibilities apart from the PCB.Have I missed anything?

The customer decided to replace the machine in the end so I can’t give any further update to this.
Having tried all other possibilities I decided the most likely problem would be the PCB but without trying it I couldn’t be sure. -
