Runs fine but not heating the water, so I suspect the heating element.
Got the thing apart this morning but can’t for the life of me find the heating element!
I’d be really grateful for any pointers (and any tips on removing it) to save my sanity.June 29, 2021 at 8:50 am #477670electrofix

ParticipantBrilliant, thanks Dave.
I’ve got it off and mine does look exactly like that.
Like a prize idiot I’ve quoted the wrong model number – it should be F65610IM0P – so that is the correct part.
Thanks again

ParticipantJust go on to AEG`S own spares site. Type in the product code in full begins with a 9. Find the electrical odd and sods where you will discover a model number to match your machine to check, part location drawings part number and prices.

ParticipantOK. I changed the heating element and put it back together. Fiddly but seemed successful.
Now, when I start the dishwasher, the outlet pump does its initial run and when it’s done its bit I get the alarm code “i30 – The anti-flood device is on”. It’s clearly not leaking so I took off the polystyrene float just in case it was sticking but I’m still getting i30.
What should I look at next, please?

ParticipantMany thanks. I’ll start investigating!

ParticipantI took it apart and put it back together again and it now seems to be running OK – now with HOT water! Definitely the heating element needed changing and probably the anti-flood sensor not quite sitting properly the first time I reassembled it.
Anyway, thanks to Dave & Andyjawa for your very valuable help.

ParticipantInterestingly, I subsequently discovered a small fatberg almost completely blocking (but not quite) the outside drain into which the DW drains the waste water. I’m no expert but I suspect this would also cause the i30 error in the “Drainage problem” category.

only if it leaked underneath as i20 codes are drain problems
