AEG F80820W dishwasher. PNC 91123251902. Serial no. 30461706.

This machine is leaking from the safety overflow on the fill matrix. I have attempted to clean out the matrix, but it is virtually impossible. The sump hose appears to be clear. The machine fills for about 3 seconds then the matrix backfills, water pours out of the safety hose, down the back of the matrix and into the base.
New matrix or am I missing something? 😕 TDS has no fault finding section on this dishwasher at all; just an explanation of functions.

    Any ideas please??

    Thanks,

    Steve.

It’s a proper AEG. There is a tech mod (which I can’t find…….. 👿 ) that tells you to ty-rap the pressure switch tube up behind the cross member across the front under the tub to reduce the sludging problems. TBH, I’ve come across this a few times and never really sorted it.

Yeah, I seem to remember something about that mod…..IIRC it was to tie the safety drain hose in a ‘U’ shape – didn’t work on the last machine I did. It would help if you could see for sure what was blocked.
Anyone else solved this problem? I’m intrigued why it happens and a definitive fix would be appreciated.

Thanks again for the input, Chris.

    Cheers,

    Steve.

Getting same fault on a FAV40201. Matrix looks pretty messy so I’ll change that but is there any more info on this one?
