AEG Favorit 350 20 VI

Hi,
I have a AEG Favorit 350 20 VI, its around 5 years old and this is my first problem with it.

I start a programme the drains pump empties the sump, but then nothing. the water doesn’t start to come to the spray arms.

After a short while I then get the error beep, and fault code for appliance does not fill.

I have taken the aquastop apart and sprayed a little WD40 but this didn’t work. The salt Decalcifier is full with water and I have cleaned out the water softner matrix as it was a bit grubby.

I am a qualified sparky that is frustrated because if I had a Service manual and electrical drawings I am sure I could diagnose the problem. But trying to find these is like looking for rocking horse dung.

my first idea is always the water solenoid. its a 240v valve coil so should read about 5k ohms or so.

appliance will be trying to fill. if it fails within a certain time it dispalys a fault code and stops

Hi Dave

You were right, resistance of coil is infinity. New one on its way and hopefully resolve the matter, more to the point get the family off my back!!!!
