AEG Favorit 4020 Timer problem

Hi,
This model has rotating timer switch which no longer advances automatically, but when I turn it to a position, the dishwasher seems to do the right thing. I have been informed that the replacement part is no longer available, but I was hoping you might be able to suggest something similar from another manufacturer that will perform a basic cycle.

I am planning on redoing the kitchen early next year and buying an integrated dishwasher at that time, so I really need to keep it going until then.

Any advice or assistance that you guys can give will be very welcome. Hand washing dishes is such a drag….

When you say that the timer no longer functions, do you mean that it does not “tick”and therefore does not advance, or that some specific function does not occur at a given point?

😀 😀 I found the fault, it was a simple bad connection to the timer motor.
