ParticipantOh no !!! A housewife with a broken dishwasher and the prospect of hand washing after Sunday Dinner. Can it get worse?????
Fault code ,30 has appeared and the booklet states that the anti flood system has been triggered.
Is there something that i could do, before calling someone out for a horrendous house call fee????
Dishwasher is approx. 3 years old. Should i just go and buy a new one, bearing in mind the callout is £75-£100 ( West London prices) and then spare parts on top of a second visit in order to repair.???
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙁March 8, 2009 at 9:07 pm #279587clivejameson

There can be many causes of this from over filling to over foaming to leaking etc etc.
A worthwhile first step is to drain the now flooded floorpan by unplugging, disconnecting hoses as necessary then gently tipping the machine back at 45o and catching the ensuing tsunami with towels on the floor 😆
Reconnect and give it another go 😉
If you still get problems then it’s engineer time i’m afraid.

This suggests that you have a slow leak somewhere in the machine. Covers off for observation or call for help. Power off before actually touching anyrhing.

Penguin45.And the engineer came and diagnosed a leak in the motor.
What should we do??? Well, my hope and dream of a new kitchen and changing to silver appliances, has swayed our decision to buy a new appliance.
So i have a new toy.
Such a shame that a AEG Favorit 40850 dishwasher, no scratches, no dents, very clean, actually looks quite like new, has only one place to go. The refuse dump. Such a waste. -
