Hi, I am new to site. Have searched through forum, but despite finding lots of discussion about the anti flood system on AEG dishwashers I have not found my exact problem.

My AEG 40850 is getting on for six years old. I have had the Error 30 before when a problem with the door seal was causing a leak into the under tray, which triggered the anti flood. The drain pump siezed after that, so I replaced it, and sorted the seal. I guess this was about 18 months ago.

I am now getting Error 30 again, tried tipping it but there was no water. Took the panels off and the under tray is dry. There seem to be other people who have emptied the water from the salt container, I have also done that (not really sure what that was going to achieve though!).

Has anyone experienced the error 30 when there is not a leak?

    Thanks,
    Rich A.

Yes e30 is a float switch error, it could however be fault in control p.c.b, wiring fault, sticking float or damaged polystyrene float giving an incorrect signal that theres water there.

    Thanks for the reply.

The float itself was fine, and could move up and down without a problem, and I could hear the switch clicking. I’m guessing it could have been a wiring or PCB problem then.

I decided in the end that as the ‘turbo fan’ only worked sporadically and the E30 problem, and that it has been 5 years of being fairly problematic that I would replace it.

Am now the proud owner of a Bosch SMS63E12GB delivered today, and it’s first load is running at the moment. Here’s to no more washing up!!

    Regards,
    Rich A.
