    Located the heating element due to dishwasher not heating up, done meter test on it and got a reading of 26 ohms accross. does this indicate it is faulty or working ok?

    26 ohms is an acceptable reading.

    Does that indicate the problem is obviously elsewhere then other than the heating element, what else is there to check?

    Our next thought is to test the thermostat but have no idea where it is or what it looks like!
