Hi – I have an AEG Favorit 55002 dishwasher (pnc 911436014). It’s showing an e20 not draining error. I’ve cleaned the filters. I removed the base and checked/removed the drain pump (which seems to run ok, so I think IS draining) and made sure the hose is completely clear. I cleaned the sensor which had a little bit on gunge on it.
Running it through a 30-min cycle, I saw the countdown timer jump from 8 mins back to 13, it then filled and drained a couple of times like that, before finally clearing the program normally. No e20 error that time. But then next time, back to e20.
Any ideas!? It’s only 2.5 yrs old! Thanks.

You need to clean the air trap. If you remove the front lower panel and look for where the pressure switch pipe connects to the sump. Then put a torch inside the dishwasher shining towards this and look from the outside. You will see all the gunk inside. The best way to clean this is to remove the hose and flush water into the sump with a bit of pressure then remove the dirt from the inside. Power off first.

Thanks – I’ll try that tonight. Does anyone have a service manual or exploded parts diagram or similar that shows the parts underneath so that I’m checking the right thing?

There was gunge in that part of the sump – hard to get out but finally cleared. Seems to be working now, thanks!
