AEG Favorit 86050 VI Leak Prevention System Triggered

This dishwasher is approx. 3 years old and out of warranty. During today’s wash cycle three short continuously repeated warning tones could be heard. According to the manual this is becasue the leak prevention system has been triggered. Remedy according to the manual is turn off tap and contact cutomer service.

I would be very grateful for any advice or tips for remedies we could try before calling an engineer. Many thanks.

It means that the tray under the machine is full of water. Drain it off and find the leak………..

Power off for amything other than observation.

There was no water in the tray – but I think the waste pipe may have become blocked causing the machine to back up.

We tried the rocking advice on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=4113

and that seems to have done the trick. Hopefully it won’t happen again.
