Penguin45 suggested that I post this on the dishwasher site. Not sure if this is it but here goes nothing. My problem is a dishwasher that goes through the programs without heating up the water. Takes forever to get through the program and washes everything in cold water and leaves it wet. I presume its some kind of thermostat problem. I was quoted a minimum of £85 for a repair guy to come and look at it. I need to know if it’s worth getting fixed or whether its better just to buy a new one. What do you think?

Tubular heating element most likely culprit. P/no 1115321-10/9, under £30 usually.

Being a built-in machine (F40660IW, you’re repairer will have probably included extra time for removing it from the housing.
