Aeg fill level

Hi there,

I have an AEG OKO FAVORIT 5040, which was not filling nearly enough. I have discovered you can adjust the level via two screws on the pressure switch on the left hand side. It now fills perfectly in the wash cycle, but on rinse it fills ok then when the wash pump engages, the second fill goes slightly two high, causing eventual overflow. Which screw controls which level? Is the switch faulty? etc

The screws on the pressure switch both correspond to one level setting, one determines the pressure level at which the switch will close inside and the other determines hte pressure drop before the switch will re-open.
These are set during production and are not intended to be adjusted so if there is a problem with the operating level then replacement is the only real (and safe) alternative.
Have a look in Repairs@ for an engineer to help.

Once you adjust those screws on a pressure switch you immediately trash it! You will need a new pressure switch and clear the blockage in the water level air bottle that is causing the problem!

Oh Dear!

I thought they would have sealed them off it that was the case.

Do you know which is which? It seems like the outside one is the initial setting. Why does it trash trhe unit BTW?

What do you mean by the air bottle? The flat plastic one on the left side? Their didn’t appear to be any visible blockage.
