AEG Fridge 927966320, 3774-6KA, FLEC Control

The interior light flashes on and off regularly a few seconds after the door is opened or if another appliance is switched on in the room. Also the temp display changes when the flashing starts. Does anybody know if anything other than a faulty pcb can cause this?

new pcb mate usually light flashes when compressor running
