ParticipantHello we have a 2 1/2 year old AEG built-in dishwasher FSK63600P / PNC 911434444/02
We have an insurance plan for it.
In Nov 19 the machine was overfilling and an engineer came and replaced a water level sensor (IIRC) and then the machine was fine.
In February (probably started noticing in January) there was a problem where the machine wouldn’t heat, intermittently. About 1 time in 8 it appears to work fine, all the other times there’s no hot water (or drying function). Everything in the machine is cold at the end of the cycle, and not clean. I’ve run it with a temperature probe inside and it stays at ambient temperature (or colder).
The nature of the intermittence is possibly that it’s more likely to “work” if we haven’t tried to use it for several days.
An engineer came out early March and replaced the heater. It appeared to work, maybe for a couple of days, then went back to mainly not heating.
They came back 1st April and replaced a couple of PCBs in the base. It worked, again for one or two washes, now it’s back to mainly not working.
They are due to come back again 17 April but understandably appointments for ovens and washing machines are being prioritised in the circumstances. Last time he said he wasn’t sure what else the problem could be, and would need help from the manufacturer if swapping out the PCBs didn’t help.
I’m hopeful that when they come back they will able to resolve the problem, but in the meantime I thought I’d ask whether anyone on this forum has seen anything similar and might have some advice?
Thank you for reading

ParticipantThanks Dave—it’s running, but mostly not heating. Occasionally it heats, apparently normally that time. We’ve tried all the programmes with similar results.

Moderatordifficult to know what it is
poss turbidity sensor being intermittant. This measures temp and water levels so it will help programmer decide whether to turn the heater on or not
