Just had an ex display AEG Induction HK654400FB Hob installed and all lights up perfectly but no heat from the coils. It seems stuck in demo mode and I cannot work out how to reset it. I have found a service manual online but it is for an older version and does not seem to work. Does anyone have any clue as to which buttons I need to press?

    Thanks

when you say no heat from coils i assume you have put the correct type of pan on otherwise they dont work

Yep, correct pans as it replaces a broken (damaged glass) AEG Induction Hob. Wiring is fine (installed by spark) no error numbers. All buttons function just as you would expect but no heating of the pans.

I found an older service manual online which is written poorly and the button combination does not seem to work

just in case there are any differences i need the complete PNC code as the model is not complete and there is a choice of 6 units at the moment

Sorted it but thanks for the offer. For those in the future who find themselves in a similar position Pg13 of the manual in the link below lists the procedure:

    https://manualzz.com/doc/6285581/service-manual#p13

Essentially I held the On Button (I) (with the hob off) until it cycled on and off. I then held the farthest right button (which on this model is the bridge function) and the space below and “do” appeared in the display. I then pressed the + key next to the clock and cycled to “d ” which switched demo mode off and it all functions perfectly.

Older AEG/Electrolux models seem to use the procedure listed on Pg18 of the manual in the link below this:

Hope that helps someone in the future
