    Hi

I live in a rented flat and recently broke my AEG Ceramic hob (Model: Competence E2190-1). I have looked for replacements on the internet but can’t find any. Can anyone help me? My landlord says I have to replace the hob with the exact same model!

Just so you know, it’s not repairable… I dropped a glass jar on it and smashed it. The elements still work though.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: AEG Hob Replacement

The glass will be replacable, but likely to be expensive.

    E2190-1 is a single built-in oven, BTW.

Thanks for your reply… what does BTW mean? Do you know where I can get the glass from?

I have a seperate model no. for our cooker but control of the hob is via the cooker.

    Thanks again.

    Re: AEG Hob Replacement

    BTW “By the way”.

spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to get the glass top, but the model number you have quoted is for the oven not the hobtop. You may have to pull the oven out of it’s housing and have a look at the bottom of the hob to find its number and preferably the pnc code.

    Re: AEG Hob Replacement

The hob number is C6100M-in and the PNC is 949 590 900

Is this what is needed? Do you have any idea approximately this will cost?

    Thank you
