Not seen this yet but wondered if anyone has the error codes. It’s displaying E3.
    Cheers, Phil

    Re: AEG Induction Hob

Thanks Brian. I found it had blown the internal fuse. The blown one was a 12 amp but the markings on the fuse holder suggest it should be a 20 amp. The info you sent also mentions a 20 amp fuse. I normally carry a few microwave 30mm fuses but only up to 10 amp. I put in a 13 amp plug fuse and tried it but it blew as soon as we tried to turn on a ring. Customer says that it tripped the MCB when all 4 rings were on and a pan boiled over but I saw no evidence of water ingress. It is not easy to work on due to the way it’s constructed so I didn’t strip it after it blew the replacement fuse. I’ve therefore not had any circuit boards off to check for damage on the undersides. I found the 2 insulated gate bipolar transistors that power the rear right ring were reading short circuit and there was also an open circuit diode which turned out to be a 16 volt zener diode. The replacement bits came yesterday and I fitted them today. Now all 8 IGBTs and all the zener diodes are giving the expected meter readings but when I tried the hob it blew my new 20 amp fuse as soon as I turned on a ring 😥 I had not even got as far as trying the right hand rings i.e. the power board I had repaired. I was trying the left hand ones first but the fuse that blew is supposed to be the one feeding the right hand rings 😕 I suppose I should have taken the easy way out and just quoted for a new board. Then again, if the customer had said “go ahead, renew the board” and the hob was still blowing fuses after fitting a £359 power module, I suspect she would not be amused 😡 It looks as though the faulty power board must have damaged the filter board (Connect are quoting a retail price of £437 for a new filter board).
