    customer says intermittent poor dry, coming out hot and damp. set to dry cond valve works and pump runs for a few seconds then when dry proper starts fan runs (good air flow) heat works but no cond valve. any ideas?

    All the usual suspects Wilf, valve and fluff blocked condenser.

    thanks Martin but the airflow is good and why would the valve work ok before the start of the program proper ? its a puzzle

    The valve has nowt to do with airflow. The valve all important on the condensing side of the cycle. Symptoms : Hot and damp. Reason? I mentioned that earlier 😉
