18 month old AEG washer dryer. Power to board in fascia but no lights, nothing.

EMW said they repair this newer type but have just sent it back with a note saying they don’t repair them. 😥

Im getting a few of this newer style boards with these symptoms but as of yet the customer has declined the repair due to the cost of the board.

Im reluctant to order a £200 board to find another fault. Insulation tests etc prove ok.

Has anyone changed boards and been successful??

    Ta.

I can’t answer your question Tim, sorry. But you’re into a hiding for nothing to speculate on a new board that’s for sure. These 3 phase motor machines are a caution and a dead display board means you are literally fumbling in the dark for the greater part and perhaps risking a costly mistake should you get it wrong.

I can send you some tech info on this model that shows in great detail the various circuit board configurations, connections and what area of the board does what. If you like?

In instances where I’ve come across Lux machines that are just out of warranty with expensive failings, referred my customer to Service Force. Service Force agents have carried out a repair at a special concessionary rate (labour only I believe in most cases).
