The Machine started making a grinding type noise during the drying cycle and also at the end of the wash cycle. This noise has now stopped completely and this has now meant the machine no longer dries at all. I recognise the noise as this has previously failed under warranty and it was the ventilator that was replaced. I have looked on the diagram and there are two parts

AEG WASHING MACHINE DRYING MOTOR VENTILATOR ASSEMBLY for L61470WDBI (91460602002)

There also appears to be a little motor that connects to this assembly. Which part will have failed? Is this easy enough to replace by removing the lid?

I am considering replacing the entire machine with hopefully a more reliable freestanding model as the ventilator has previously failed under warranty and the pulley wheel also seems to start wearing after about 6 months on this machine….

Is it worth one last repair?

If not any recommendations for a decent freestanding model around £600 ish?

    Thanks

    Mark
