    Hi, my 5 year old AEG Lavamat 16810, is gone BAD. 👿
    As soon as I turn the dial the machine starts – even with the door open. Or at least it sounds like it is starting a wash, it may be the drain pump running?
    If I actually start a wash, (door closed!) water drains as it is filling so machine never fills and cycle doesn’t progress.
    Drain and Spin programs work OK.
    Any idea if this is likely to be a pump problem or a control or power pcb problem? And likely repair costs of either?
    Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

    Maybe pump blocked & not getting rid of water, or that it is pumping out ok & syphoning water when it starts to fill because there is no airbreak at drain hose connection to household pipework.
