ParticipantHi, can you please advise. I have error code EFO however when I remove the back from the machine there is no water at the bottom of the machine and the flood float is lying squarely on the base. If I press the two buttons on the left side of the control panel (Rinse Hold and Pre Wash) the code changes to EF3. Four weeks ago I had the pump replaced as the machine stopped draining. To check this was ok I removed the filter and turned the propeller which appears to be stiff. Can the pump cause EFO or am I barking up the wrong tree? If you can advise how I can test if the pump is ok or point me in the right direction this would be appreciated.

EF3 = Water control system fault. So check fill hose as well as drain hose, pump and drain filter. A sock caught in the sump hose can have same effect too.

Thank you, I removed all the hoses but other than a thin lining of slim they were clear. I decided to remove the pump that was recently fitted, to discover the left hand coil (when looking from the back of the pump) was black and the plastic on the side of the pump was completely melted away. The Pump is an Askoll model M224 XP Art.296004 Cod. 50266741003 is this the correct pump for this machine. I asked my wife if she smelt an electrical burning smell and her response was “ahhh that’s what the stink was, I though at the time that was a funny smell.” A bit of a clue I think! Can you please advise the correct pump and price and where the best place to buy it from is?

Thank you. I have made the purchase. Here’s to hoping this one will last longer than the last.

Hi, part arrived today and is now fitted. Unfortunately the fault has not cleared EFO is still displayed and the buzzer sounds. Do you have to perform a fault reset to clear the stored error? If so can you please advise how?

Hi, I have learned turning the machine off at the mains and leaving it for a few minutes does reset the error. It would appear that I have another issue. Can you please advise if a blown motor can impact the control board and cause an EFO fault.
