AEG Lavamat 61271 Not starting!

Hi Guys,

I have an AEG Lavamat 61271WDBI, Type: HI442442 Product Number: 914606041|00. I recently returned from 4 days away and attempted to use it, when I press start a filling noise starts, then stops quickly the start/stop button light just flashes and that’s as far as the process gets, it just hangs.

Following steps found earlier I have an error code E3A, Not found in my user manual and there is not much online. I’m not very DIY handy but any tips would be greatly appreciated!

not an easy one I am afraid listed as follows

E3A
Heating element relay sensing faulty
(input signal to microprocessor
always 0V or 5V)

pcb faulty

all it offers is check all connections and replace pcb and try again

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply! In a strange turn of events I tried the machine half an hour after writing this message and all worked okay. No touching, moving or taking apart. Totally unsure why or how it is fixed but it is!
