AEG Lavamat 64810

Hi there. I have an AEG Lavamat 64810 and especially like the countdown display and the fact I can add washing even when the programme has started. I have to buy a new machine (for another property) and would get the same but it’s not available. Please can someone tell me what the AEG latest equivalent of the 64810 is, or suggest other machines that have these two features? Many thanks.

Adding washing after the cycle has started has to be a feature long since rendered obsolete. Why would anyone want to do that?

It’s useful for lots of reasons – e.g. you’ve just put a wash on and:
a)turn round and see you dropped an item before you got to the machine
b)child/partner arrives home in filthy clothes
c)child/partner comes running downstairs clutching jeans saying “are you doing a wash?”.

Hi

For a countdown display on a machine of any quality you will need to look at the Bosch Avantixx, Exxcell and Logixx ranges. If you purchase before the 31st December from a Bosch authorised independant retailer there is a free four year warranty and energy cashback on selected models.

I would phone AEG and ask their advice on the door opening issue 08445 611 611.
