AEG Lavamat 72600 update timer

Just got the first fault with my trusty AEG 72600 update.
The minute timer does not count down and there is a continual clicking coming from behind the control panel. If you turn the control knob to any program it will start but will stay on the same cycle.
Is it any easy fix (Broken cog etc?) or is it a call out for an engineer.
No problems openning up the machine, spent many a happy hour repairing the old Hoover machine, motors, drums etc.

Believe it or not, the motorised soap box top has broken and the machine will not programme.

If you would post up the pnc number from the rating label, I can advise what part to order for you.

Took the tray out and opened it up, no visual sign of damage, Worked for one wash and then needs a clout on top since, hence its a bit buggered me thinks 😥
