ParticipantBeen offered this for £70 on a freeads type site. Apparently in good working order and recently serviced.
Its either this or I can go for the Hoover Electronic 1100 which is free via freecycle, which one will be my best bet really.
Both owners say the machines are in good working order.
Any advice appreciated, I cant go see the machine due to having a broken foot at the moment.

It’s a Zanussi in a dress. It’ll be a whole heap more energy and water efficient than the old Hoover, but it’s a lot more complex.

I really am not sure which one to go for at all.
What would you do?

Decisions, decisions…very difficult to say really. If you have the space then get them both. If not then the age of the Hoover machine is a big concern. I wouldn’t take to much notice of the ‘recently serviced’ claims.
If a modern ( last 25 years) automatic is working perfectly well, not leaking or making any strange noises then there is little or nothing to ‘service’ on it TBH.
You have to ask why they are selling the AEG in particular if it is in good working order. 😉
If push came to shove I would possibly go for the AEG, but then I do have the wherewithal to repair it if needs arise.

ParticipantYeh thats true.
THe AEG is being sold because they are moving house and I am assuming it is because the new place is integrated.

ParticipantWell I am thinking possibly go for the hoover one and if it lasts 6 months I can buy another at some other time.
plus its free and they might drop it off for me too.
OUt of interest what load size can you put in the hoover?

At a guess it would be about 4.5 kg.

Oh ok so perhaps a smaller load but I bet it washes better! I want one that uses more water really! Prefer the older ones myself!
