AEG Lavamat 72630 update stops before final rinse

My AEG Lavamat stops before the last rinse cycle. No error code is displayed, but total wash cycle time duration is displayed. Switching programme selector to off and selecting rinse is the only way to complete the whole wash cycle. Any suggestions please?

No absolute way to be sure about what’s going on here, but my first port of call would be the water level control system. The collecting bell on the tub to filter hose is prone to collecting sludge – this can give false readings, causing the machine to think it’s full of water, even when it isn’t. The level switch itself can occasionally fail, though this is rare.

Power off, if investigating.

Have done as you suggest and cleared collecting bell and hose of sludge, not that there was much there, but problem still remains. Otherwise machine seems to function quite normally. Interior of machine seems in a good state with no wires off or loose connections. Any other suggestions would be gratefully received Mr Penguin.

My Lavamat 16820 is also doing this after 14 months. It also re-starts if you change to zero and re-start but the problem gets worse and needs more and more re-starts before it will finally work.

Has anyone any ideas?
