Hi! can anyone help? We have an AEG Lavamat 76810 which is showing error code E50 and giving 5 beeps. I cleaned all the filters and tried it again after about one hour and the same thing occurred. The wash ended maybe 10-15 minutes into a 74 minute cycle and the water was left in the drum and detergent ball still sitting on the washing with detergent in it. I drained it out using the drain cycle. The drum rotates by hand.
can anyone help, as this combination of error code / beeps is not in the AEG troubleshooting guide. Many thanks!

    It’s a drive error.

Motor, carbon brushes, inverter card (if fitted) or main control PCB are all suspects.

Many thanks for the advice. I’ve tried to get the motor out to check the brushes, but although I’ve removed the four screws holding the motor under the drum, it won’t shift. is there something I’ve missed? I also saw some advice on older AEGs about how to get further details on the problem by pressing two buttons at once. i tried it and the display comes up with E52. can you identify whether it is motor/brushes/inverter or PCB from this? many thanks!

E52 is a motor fault. If you have removed all four screws then it will slide off with somehelp from a flatblade screwdriver . Most likely to be the brushes on the motor
