AEG Lavamat 971 Door release.

The door is not releasing via the push button. checked the solenoid on the interlock and its ok. Switch seems ok and connections are ok. Found the wiring diagram for the model and its all in German :rolls:
Anyone point me in the right direction on this asin the meantime her kitchen needs to be dismantled so I can get the top off. :rolls: :rolls:

Sure there is a manual release lever, if you open the flap to drain filter. pull down. if that dosent release door, Interlock / release mech possible faulty, if ok you need to check voltage into solonide then work backwards to supply. hope this helps

It’s an old bird you got there TC. Chances are the push button unit is suspect? Also the latch/door striker mechanism worn? HTH? 🙂

Sorry Gents, missed a vital bit of info there now I’ve re-read it, there is no clunk of any kind from the solenoid but it tests ok.

usually down to the ribbon cable, where it plugs on to the interlock, often burns its connection. Also wont feed the door release if the pressure switch is stuck.
