Re: AEG LAVAMT clearing C9 error code after replacing brushe

tfcgw wrote:Applied these techniques to an AEG Lavamat 72600 that was showing error code C9. Replaced the brusehs but the washing machine equivalent of CTRL+ALT_DEL (complete reset) was different to that suggested above. With the Switch in the OFF position. Press and hold PRE-WASH and SOAKING buttons turn the control knob to Short Spin. Wait one or two seconds and all the indicators should illuminate. Then turn the control knob to OFF. All the indicators should go out. Then try and use your machine as normal. In my case this cleared the C9 error code.

    Thanks!

Your reset procedure cleared C9 error on my AEG 88830 🙂

    Hi

I fixed my AEG 74720 changing the carbon brushes.
The reseted the washer by pressing the two upmost buttons (“prewash” + soaking i recall) AND turning the dial counter clock wise to “energy saving mode” (or was it to 95 celsius degrees??).

Try turning counter clock wise one click at a time and it should work.
All light will turn on when this is succesful. After that just turn to OFF.

    Hint:

before buying new brushes, you should check your “copper lamels” (the ones that are touched by the brishes) to see that they have not been burned nor hurt in any way (they should be set evenly, without any noticable cracks, etc.

If so, you might have to buy a new “engine/motor”, and that might turn out to be failry expensive.
