AEG Lavamat fault

This is my first go at this – so here goes
My AEG Lavamat 1271 VI Turbo has an intermittant fault. Often, no matter what program you choose, it clicks and whirs then does some pumping out – it even goes on to let water in and rotating the drum a bit – then it just stops and the timer flicks to 1 min. Having said that, just this evening it completed program without a hitch.
🙁 Any ideas?

Check and clean the water supply line filter and the drain filter 😉

I’ve cleaned the drain filter – it was full of ucky crud – and the machines done a normal wash tonight without fault. I’ll try it again tomorrow night and post the outcome.
Not sure where the supply line filter is though.
