AEG Lavamat L 16850 – 91460530902

Hello, my machine is showing a fault code E73. – Fault in the NTC Sensor Drying Duct (Voltage out of range = Short Circuit Open Circuit) Drying (duct) sensor faulty; Wiring faulty; main circuit Board faulty. Heating is Skipped Start.

Referring to the AEG exploded diagram

I have checked the following parts for continuity and resistance.

Item 48c – Washer Dryer Temperature Probe, No. 3792171203 –
About 5 ohm at room temperature, functions when heated. Has continuity

Item 48 – Washing Machine Temperature Probe, No. 8074873012
6 ohms at room temp. NO continuity

Item 3 – Washing Machine Manual Reset Temperature Regulator No. 1242702007
0.3 ohms. Has continuity

Item 3b Washing Machine temperature regulator No. 1242726501
0.3 ohms. Has continuity

I have also removed and cleaned out the Condenser

I would appreciate any ideas please

item 48 is an NTC you say it has a reading of 6 ohms and no continuity. at 6 ohms its almost short circuit so will have continuity

correct value should be about 5000 ohms at 20 degrees

Thanks Dave, I did suspect this part but the descriptions in the parts list sugested tha it was related to the washig, which is working IK, not drying. I have ordered one. I will let you know the result.
