Have a customers washing machine / dryer giving out a very loud rattling sound from below? During the wash cycle this very loud rattle starts up but not when the drain pump comes on or spin cycle. Drum bearings ok The washing machine runs through the complete cycle ok. Apparently is started off with a little clicking six months ago and now really gets annoying. Is there a small water pump for the drying process that is coming on in the normal wash cycle?
Scratching my head on this as the unit is below the tiles in the kitchen and some floor tiles might have to come off before repair work starts.
Was not sure if the recirculation actually runs when in a normal wash cycle.
Will try to get the PNC number off the customer before going there for a repair as her hubby will be chiselling off a couple of tiles having tiled the washer in nicely and the worktop is a solid lump of granite.
Recirculation pump bearings rattling away like a football rattle.
Replaced pump and piece and quite restored to the elderly couple having had their floor tiles removed to get the washer out under the glued granite worktop.
