ParticipantHi,
The machine originally was reporting an E10 error code (filling error) so removed inlet pipe and checked pressure which was very low. It has one of those Aqua stop inlet pipes so gave it a clean but still only a trickle.
I have replaced the inlet pipe with a standard blue washing machine supply pipe. We did a couple of washes and it all looked good!
Came down this morning to a small flood on the floor, stupidly opened the front door and ended up with much larger flood as the machine was half full of water.
I can hear a trickle of water from the detergent draw even when off so I assume its filling.
I removed the inlet filter inside the inlet socket on machine and this was clean, there is also a small rubber restricting valve behind the filter, for the life of me I can’t remember which way round this goes.
So a couple of questions:
Which way round does this rubber valve go, restricting water in or out? I have tried it both ways with the same result – it fills when off.
My supply is under the sink and operated via a small tap, how do I know when I have enough pressure and not too much? I understand I need between 0.5 and 1 bar?
Any advice on stopping the filling when off!
regards,
Dan. (Currently very much in the dog house with my wife!)

Can the inlet valve be damaged by high pressure? When i connected the standard hose to the inlet I just opened the tap to full. I am just a bot concerned that the originbal issue was not enough water and now it wont stop? Is this the only thing it can be?

High pressure (up to 150psi) not a problem generally. It’s low pressure the worry with these valves.

Thanks for the feedback Martin /Washman. I can hear water trickling in regardless of how much pressure I have on the input side so I guess I should follow Washmans advice and order a new input valve. Is there anyway of checking if that is the problem or is it a sealed unit and just get the new one and fit it?
Anyone have a link of for a site I can get it from?
Cheers,
