AEG Lavamat TURBO 16810 Update – not working, no code

Hi, can anyone help, my Lavamat Turbo 16810 Update has stopped working, it had started a wash, filled with water, was washing and then started making a constant clicking/buzzing noise. There was no error code shown on the display. I have manually drained the water and emptied the machine, the drum rotates manually with no concerning sounds. The displays appears to be normal in that it comes up with time in mins for each selected program but when you press start, it flashes red then green as if it will start but then makes this awful noise and nothing else happens, the time in mins does’t countdown. I have tried this on a wash, spin, drain etc and each time the same – any help would be greatly appreciated 😀

Sounds like something in your pump, rattling around then jamming the pump.

Two types of pump fitted to this range.

The early type has the pump mounted sideways in the middle of the front chassis rail. Access is awkward, but the pump motor can be unscrewed with a bit of patience.

Late type is a twist fit on the back of the filter housing.

Power off first, of course.
