I have a AEG Lavamat Turbo 16830 with a dryer problem. The unit is two months out of warranty (typical) and the dryer does not function correctly. The washing cycle is fine and the spin dry is very efficient however if you put the cloths in to dry, using the dryer they come out wetter then they were post spin. A few points to note – when the dryer is on, water pumps into the machine at the start of the drying cycle. Although you do not see the water as it does not fill into the drum, the fill cycle adds 5 lts to the machine before its starts to dry (is this normal?). Second point, this only started when the pump was blocked when a small piece of fluff jammed the pump propeller and E10 (there is no issue with the water inlet flow/ pressure) and E20 flashed on the screen. The first time the pump did not work was during a drying cycle, and once discovered I removed the drum to pump hose (it was clear) and the pump to drain hose (it was clear) cleared the filter. My wife washed some cloths and then blamed me for knackering in the heater (womanโ€™s logic). When using the washing cycle no issues, water goes in and out as it should, but the Dryer makes the clothes wetter. Help!

Thank you for the response, it is appreciated. The dryer is now reporting E20 which is a drain fault ๐Ÿ˜ฅ . The strange thing is it works fine as a washing machine, so can you advise why it is ok as a washing machine but when you turn on the dryer the Water Inlet Valve is faulty. This just baffles me (washer/dryers just baffle me) – Any explanation is welcomed.

there’s a separate portion of the valve for the dryer.
