Simonhello
ParticipantI have read the excellent advice given on this forum for somebody with the same problem on a 16830 but when I poke around the interior looks completely different to that described!
Basically everything works perfectly with this machine except the drier which does not heat up.
I have had a good look around in search of loose connections but none were immediately apparent.
The PNC number is 914605309 02. It is a type H1056324. Manufacture date is 2010-05-12.
Any assistance will be gratefully received!
Many thanks.

Hi Simon,
You’d need to see if the condensate chamber is clear, test the heater for continuity then check the thermostats. Or at least, that’s how I’d approach it.
There isn’t a magic bullet I’m afraid, it’s a case of diagnosing where the problem lies.

Hi Kwat
Thanks for your answer. Luckily I think I have solved the problem further examination revealed what appeared to be a thermostat slotted into a rubber pipe which strangely only had one wire attached to it. My limited knowledge goes far enough to realise that two wires are required for a circuit so rummaging around the jumble df wires in the bottom of the machine I was able to locate the missing wire. The wire was much shorter than perhaps it should be and connected to the thermostat terminals with a zif connection (not reliable in my opinion ). After some fiddling I was able to restore the connection and everything is now working fine.
Cheers
Simon

Hi all,
See my recent posting under ‘16830’ – if the condensor is blocked (error code E20 not fixed by cleaning the filter), you can clean it out from the top, you don’t even need to take the back off.

Is there an easy way ?This is a public bodgers forum Andy. With both the early version and the later HEC solid cabinet version the condenser should be removed completely for cleaning. PM me if you need tetchy stuff (wink) 😀
