I had an engineer through Domestic and General fit some unnecessary parts ( air duct , thermostat and a few others which I can’t remember) associated with the drier.

after the repair my machine was unfixed and made a really loud noise during spin cycle. on the following call out the second engineer had confirmed that the original fault was down to a loose wire and no parts needed replacing . He also stated that the new noises I was hearing was down the the engineer not bolting the parts down! And showed me that the drum was unsupported . He reassured me that it wouldn’t have caused any problems within the machine but my machine isn’t running as smooth and quiet as it originally was

my question is could this have Caused some damage to my machine?

well the short answer is maybe

any part that moves when it shouldn’t has the potential to cause damage
