ParticipantWell first the washing machine and forumites and a spare part from this website SOLVED my problem. Less than £25. 😆
But a few weeks later and the tumble dryer is playing up.
At first the washing would stop drying mid cycle, then sometimes cycle finishes and is still damp/wet.
Now it won’t even turn. And i need to dry the washing 😡
No error messages. Have cleaned drum. Filter and condenser both clean. Water goes out via a pipe, by-passing the water drawer. Is this another task for us to explore or do i just order a new one.? I get fed up with mega call outs and then a fortune for spare parts, when a new one is only a bit more.

Belt broken?Well, I just set up a complete new automatic cycle, 135 minutes long. It buzzed a bit, as if sensoring how wet, then it does start to turn and then it stopped on 134 minutes. Pause/start button flashes and the Red light flashes for indicating Empty Water , but it is rigged up to a pipe where the water drains out.
So belt still functioning.OMG the prospect of family washing on washing line over weekend in February 😯

Makes this Siemens WT46E384GB Sensor Condenser Tumble Dryerfor £379 ( after £50 trade in for taking my broken AEG) at John Lewis seem very attractive. I know what my DH will say.

All joking aside, your AEG dryer is a nice piece of kit. Therefore I seriously suggest you get your local Serviceforce guy in to sort it for you. Or, alternatively click HERE for a local independent repairer in your area to get it fixed. 😀
