I have a 30 year old AEG built in double oven Model no: BH8.04 (Product Number 611 572 973). I need to replace the springs on the main oven door.

To do this it looks like the main oven has to be removed from the oven housing. I took off the fan cover and removed 6 screws that were behind it. It looks like the oven should then be able to slide forward and out. But so far it won’t budge. I can’t see any more screws or fastenings holding it but there must be something. Do I need to actually move the entire oven out of the built-in cabinet to access some screws from the back perhaps?

I can post photos if that would help.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Whole oven has to come out of kitchen carcass. Usually 2 or 4 fixing screws down the side of the frame. Open oven doors to spot them.
