ParticipantGood afternoon. I am changing my main oven thermostat (AEG 3210BU-W). I have the new switch which should be a direct replacement. (Model ET52001FS). The main dial terminals 1,2,3 & 6 all swopped over. What i am question is I have three terminals labelled F, G & H. The new switch has one terminal called A and two terminals called B. There is nothing on the packaging so I am presuming that as G & H is one single terminal this would go onto B. Then F would go onto A. I would love to confirm this before I switch on and blow up the oven!!

Moderatorthere seems to be 2 models of you cooker with the same PNC number which is 94417106100
the earlier model shows a model number of 3210BU-W (WHITE) the later one is listed as 3210BU-W2 (WHITE)
they both are listed with different main oven stats the W model has part no 3110945007 but the W2 model uses 3116865001
so is it defiantly the W model or W2 and which stat have you been sold ?

ParticipantHello Electrofix, I can confirm its the model 3210BU-W. I found that my assumption seems to be correct as I found details about the switch change and it seems to be working fine. It seems when you but this item from some suppliers you get a change diagram. But hey ho its working. Thanks for replying.

ParticipantA new question to ask now. For some reason the thermostat seems to be about twenty degrees out. I wonder if I have a faulty one?

Moderatorfind out where the oven temp sensor is and put the thermometer close to it and see what you get. And don’t expect it to be too accurate you can get inconsistencies due to where you put the knob and tolerances in the thermostat

ParticipantCheers Dave. I might be missing something completely but I presume your saying put a thermometer close to the temp probe from the thermostat and see what the reading is?

Moderatorcorrect that is where the temp is being measured so that where you want the reading

ParticipantEvening Dave
So the story goes on. The thermostat is still miles out so I have contacted the supplier to question it. Looking at the package the new thermostat is an ET52001F8. The DST number on the supplier label is DST506008433001. But on the back of the packaging is DST506008483001. I dont know if there is a difference in the numbers?January 21, 2019 at 8:38 pm #460059electrofix
Moderatorthat seems to be the correct part number
