I’ve worked on microwaves for years but maybe some engineer can point me in the right direction.
This touch control AEG micromat 125 enr 947001273 has been checked twice. sounds ok but don’t heat. first visit it was fine when I tried it but I removed it from its housing and checked the Magnetron connections and door switches. everything seemed ok.it worked for a week then same fault. again checked everything and really gave the machine some work and heated lots of water. it worked fine. I actually changed the cut out on the magnetron in case it was getting too hot, open circuiting then not resetting. its happpened again. Looks like it back to the workshop with it.

If you can reproduce the fault condition, check for 240 at the transformer primary then work back or forward from there.

Hi Kevin, the only real problem I’ve had with these microwaves intermittently heating, is the h/v lead up to the mag from the capacitor.the connector on it is very flimsey.I have always cut the connector off and replaced it and then soldered the connector, also had a couple where the connectors have been slightly arcing on the capacitor.
    Hope it helps!

thanks for the advice. i did look at the filliment connections and they seemed ok but you are probably right especially if you’ve had bother with this model in the past.
not calling until next week so any other known intermittent faults with this model appreiciated.

Fitted a new cable from the filement to the cap. seems ok now. Thanks for the advice.
