We bought this machine from a retail chain Darty in Las Palmas in May 2013. We are living on a 47ft sailing yacht travelling from Spain to Australia.

The machine went faulty in about January with the error code below. I have tried to deal with AEG in the UK but no sensible response. AEG have cleverly hidden all their human contacts or phone numbers. AEG in Germany did not reply.

The screen displays an error code EH0 although the H looks like the top and bottom of the left hand side have been shortened. It could be a truncated E40 as well? On the screen the 5th symbol in the C section , a KEY To indicate a lock state, is on even though the lid can be opened and as far as we know there is no water in the drum. Can you help with diagnosis? Sometimes the pause button on the display flashes and the temp and spin settings can be changed. Another time (after turning power off and back on) the pause button stays on and none of the temp and spin settings can be accessed.

Am I experiencing a door lock problem or is it more serious with possible board failure. Can anyone give me a contact email or phone number for Germany (I am assuming head office is here?) or someone who can give answers on Spanish warranty?

    Many thanks, Graeme H

No such error code as EH0 but E40 relates to a problem with the lid lock.
